You can make better decisions about lending when you understand how much risk a customer or prospect represents. Credit reporting gives you information and insight you can use to acquire more customers, retain your most valuable ones and manage risk better.

TransUnion has the only centralized database of consumer credit in Hong Kong. The credit data is provided and shared by member institutions. These institutions are committed to maintaining high-quality data by regularly reporting and updating account information.

TransUnion Credit Reports contain full-file data, which means that a variety of both positive and negative data are contributed and reported. This gives our members a more thorough view of consumers' credit history and improves their ability to make more objective decisions.

You will find the following information in TransUnion Credit Reports:

• Personal Information including name, Hong Kong ID Card number or travel document number, date of birth, current and previous addresses and telephone numbers

• Information from Members about a consumer's credit accounts with current credit usage and account repayment history

• Public Records such as monetary litigation, bankruptcy and winding-up petitions

• Enquiry Records, which list members that have accessed a consumer's credit report within the last two years
