Before You Start
Make sure you are using a secure and stable network in a comfortable and private environment.
Have your
smartphone ready.
Have your
Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID) ready and remove the plastic cover if needed.
To register an online TransUnion account, please download the TransUnion mobile app and follow the instructions to complete the registration and identity verification process.
STEP 1
Create Account
Open the TransUnion mobile app and click "Register Now".
Fill in your most used email address or the mobile phone number you used to register with a bank or financial institution recently, then click “Next”.
Fill in your account information, including username* and password, to create your account.
*Please note that the username cannot be changed once the account is successfully created. Read the terms carefully and click "Agree and Continue".
STEP 2
Identity Verification
To access your credit information, you must complete the identity verification process.
Select your HKID card type and follow the instructions to scan your HKID card. Please make sure you have given the TransUnion mobile app permission to access your camera for scanning.
After successfully scanning of your HKID card true copy, check your details carefully and click "Confirm" to continue. To scan again at any information error, just click "Scan Again".
STEP 3
Facial Recognition and Mobile Phone Number Authentication
You have successfully created an account. You can now return to the TransUnion website or continue to use the TransUnion mobile app and login to your TransUnion online account, to order or redeem TransUnion services.
Upon successful completion of facial recognition authentication, we will send you a one-time password (OTP) to your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP and press “Submit” to continue.
Authentication completed.
You have successfully created an account. You can now return to the TransUnion website or continue to use the TransUnion mobile app and login to your TransUnion online account, to order or redeem TransUnion services.
